Hello lovelies!
Your eyes are not deceiving you - I am posting for the SECOND day in a row.
Today I have decided to start a little weekly series to basically show you all of my current favourite things, from make-up and fashion, to the music I've been jammin' to.
Beauty-
So here is my first section, and probably my favourite too. Here is just a couple of products that I have been using to death this month.
MAC Lipsticks in 'Pink Pigeon' and 'Brick O'la'
This week, I have been pushing aside my usual go-to red lip, and have instead been using two very beautiful alternatives. 'Pink Pigeon' is a very under-hyped (is that even a word? well I have made it one now!) shade within MAC's famous lipstick line. It has a lovely matte finish, with great consistency that doesn't dry my lips out in the slightest! If you are looking for a slightly more wearable version of the cult-classic 'Candy Yum-Yum' then look no further! Lastly, 'Brick O'la' is yet again another underestimated lipstick in the blogging world. It has a very creamy consistency that doesn't slide around everywhere and has pretty good staying power for an amplified finish. It certainly stays on when I'm chugging my coffee down in a morning!
Barry M Nail Paint in 'Bikini' (LE) and 'Blueberry Ice-Cream'
SO, here's something I haven't been into for a long while - a good few years ago now, I was a nail polish hoarder, which means now I have a rather vast collection of them. This is a bonus for me, as I never need to splash out on nail colours, when I already have 2 drawers full of shades. Anyway, This week I decided to paint my rather awfully bitten nails to make them a little more colourful. I have been loving using these two pastel shades, which are perfect for the summer and have also been stopping me from my horrible habit!
Zoella Body Mist in 'Blissful Mistful'
I can't even tell you how much I love this collection. It's so girly and pretty, plus this looks rather lovely on my dressing table. Packaging aside - this smells so so lovely. I am pretty particular and picky with my scents, so it's quite surprising that a body mist is appealing to me. This week especially, I have been passing on using my beloved Miss Dior and have instead been spritzing this delight on everyday. The smell seems to linger for a long time too. Zoe has recently bought out a new collection, which again is very exciting for me, and I shall be getting my freshly painted hands on some of her products!
Fashion
The second section is of course the clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery etc, that I have been loving this week. This weeks is rather short and sweet, as it's been pretty hot here in England, therefore I have been chucking on anything to keep me cool!
Equilibrum 'Tree of Life' Necklace
This little beauty was given to me as a leaving gift from the unit I just left, and my gosh - I am in love! It hasn't even been a week yet, but I have worn it every single day. It is so simple and elegant, but yet holds a beautiful meaning to me. Around the tree it is engraved with 'Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much' and I couldn't thank the hospital enough for this little treasure, which I will certainly keep safe forever.
Black Patent 'Doc Marten Style' Shoes
I bought these shoes from Bank just before it closed down and since that day - I have worn them too death. I'm actually pretty surprised that there is still something left of them... They are a rip-off version of the beautiful Doc Martens shoes, which I have wanted for a long while now, but could never get the money together to afford them. These little lovelies are just as good for me, and they seem to make me much taller - which is a bonus!
Music
As Long As You're Mine - Wicked
The first song that I have been playing on repeat this week is from the musial 'Wicked', which I still have yet to see. I love the soundtrack to this show, and I have recently discovered this beautiful love song, and I have fallen in love!
Preach -MO
This song has been a favourite of mine since it first came out, but it deserves a mention, as it's my ultimate sass song, which I play every morning without fail. It makes me want to dance, not to mention how gorgeous MO are!
Best Fake Smile - James Bay
This week, I have discovered this beauty of an album. I decided I couldn't really inlcude the whole album in this, but I have selected my current favourite. This song is so happy and infectious. The lyrics are brilliant and very catchy - Not only has it been on repeat on Spotify, but also in my head.
Random
My last section of this week is just a section to put 'random' things that I have been enjoying this week. This week, I only have one - so here it is...
Millie Marotta's 'Animal Kingdom' colouring book.
If you didn't already know, there is a huge incline in adult colouring books, which makes me very happy indeed. I have to confess that I have always been a colouring addict - from a young age, I have coloured in pretty much daily. So when this big uproar came around, I was finally free to show my love everywhere I go! We had quite a craze for them whilst I was in hospital, as they're not only distracting and theraputic, but they seem to make time fly by. If you don't already own one, I would suggest you get out there and buy yourself one, you won't be disappointed!
I almost forgot to mention my lovely outing with my two best friends today! We payed a trip to our favourite Costa, and of course - I had to get my usual summer drink, an Iced Americano. They're fab.
SO there we have my first ever weekly favourites. Hopefully, if things go to plan, this post should be appearing every Saturday, apart from the last one of the month, where I will be doing my Monthly Favourites.
